Value Investors take their time to research companies that they usually invest in. The same proprietary research content is valuable to other investors researching on the same companies or even the same industry. One of the key emotions we had to build a brand for was trust and uniqueness, since there are no platforms that enable the exchange of this vetted data between investors.
In crafting the Augury platform, I honed in on three pivotal aspects to ensure a seamless user experience:
Simplicity: Central to our platform's ethos is simplicity. Drawing inspiration from Medium's intuitive layout, I adopted a minimalist approach to report publishing. This streamlined design not only enhances readability but also facilitates easy navigation, ensuring that users can effortlessly access and digest valuable insights.
Communication: Recognizing the importance of communication within the value investor community, I integrated a user-friendly chat and comments section. This feature fosters meaningful dialogue and collaboration, allowing users to exchange ideas, share perspectives, and engage in constructive discussions—all within the platform's ecosystem.
Search and Filters: To empower users with efficient research capabilities, I prioritized the development of robust search and filtering functionalities. Leveraging simple yet effective filters based on various company attributes, users can swiftly pinpoint relevant information tailored to their specific criteria. Additionally, I implemented informative learning panels, providing insights into the trading values of each stock. Complemented by curated news and articles, this comprehensive approach equips users with the tools they need to make informed investment decisions.
By focusing on simplicity, communication, and searchability, I aimed to create a cohesive platform that not only meets but exceeds the diverse needs of value investors, facilitating a more enriching and rewarding experience.
